Pressman — Carmarthenshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pressman in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Day-to-day duties: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
