Pressman — Las Animas County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Las Animas County, Colorado. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Day-to-day duties: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts 3+ years on the tools preferred.
