Join our team: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Dukes County, Massachusetts. You will be based at a garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
