Backhoe loader operator • Spink County, South Dakota

Great opportunity: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Spink County, South Dakota. The job is at a landfill site. Day to day you will read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
