Sand plant operator — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Washington County, Virginia. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
