Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Letcher County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one On the job you will handle: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $5,100 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
