Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Hamilton County, Iowa. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts 5+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
