Now hiring: we are hiring a VMC operator in Webster County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts. Ideal candidate: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
