Port container crane operator — Ingawa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Ingawa, Katsina State. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination The role involves: • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams Full-time with occasional weekends.
