Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Allen Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits.
