Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The job is in a job-work machining unit. On the job you will handle: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles You should have: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Six days a week, one day off.
