Vacancy available: argon arc welder (New Jersey)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Morris County, New Jersey. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
