Marble mason — Matanuska-Susitna Borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a marble mason in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a kitchen worktop showroom. Day-to-day duties: • Work from cutting lists and installation drawings • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Measure up and template countertops and floor areas before cutting • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades • Cut out sink and hob openings in worktops on site • Level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone • Confident operating a bridge saw, angle grinder and diamond blades Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
