Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundsman in Sumter County, Alabama. The job is at a landscaping company. The role involves apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. Requirements: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
