Now hiring: power float operator (Tennessee)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a power float operator in Franklin County, Tennessee. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day to day you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. Ideal candidate: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
