Lift erector — Buchanan County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift erector in Buchanan County, Virginia. You will work in a residential tower block. You should have: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
