Now hiring: sample machinist (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sample machinist in Kent County, Texas. The job is at a busy garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
