Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Charles County, Maryland. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
