Fabricator-welder — Baldwin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Baldwin County, Alabama. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size.
