Ceiling and wall plasterer — Clay County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Clay County, Illinois. You will be based at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Check walls for plumb and level as you go • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush You should have: • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel Meals and transport allowance provided.
