Immediate opening: excavator operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an excavator operator in St. Helens, England. You will work at a plant hire yard. Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Day to day you will stockpile and spread material to the required levels; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
