Immediate opening: we are hiring a building site helper in Floyd County, Virginia. You will work on a metro and infrastructure project. You will wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it 1+ years on the tools preferred. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
