Vertical transportation technician — Carter County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Carter County, Kentucky. You will be based in a residential tower block. The role involves test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
