Great opportunity: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Rijau, Niger State. The job is in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; give each garment a final press before packing. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets 3+ years on the tools preferred.
