Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Johnson County, Nebraska. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
