Vacancy available: shuttering fixer (Kentucky)

Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Franklin County, Kentucky. You will be based on a metro and tunnel project. On a typical shift you will fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level Meals and transport allowance provided.
