Bricklayer wanted in Tama County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Tama County, Iowa. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks You will bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
