Semi-automatic welder — Washington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Washington County, Iowa. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. You will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
