Now hiring: foundry labourer (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Floyd County, Virginia. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 2+ years on the tools preferred.
