Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Jerome County, Idaho. You will be based at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
