Foundry labourer — Nicholas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Nicholas County, West Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
