Shakeout operator wanted in Dolores County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Dolores County, Colorado. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
