Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Noxubee County, Mississippi. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
