Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The job is in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $190 per day plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
