Immediate opening: flatlock machine operator (Alabama)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Marshall County, Alabama. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
