Dogger — Wood County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a dogger in Wood County, Texas. You will be based at a shipyard. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness The role involves calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. $9,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
