Now hiring: shakeout operator (Washington)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Wahkiakum County, Washington. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
