Metal caster — Ionia County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Ionia County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
