Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in James City County, Virginia. The role involves spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits.
