Ironing operator — Bolivar County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an ironing operator in Bolivar County, Mississippi. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; give each garment a final press before packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
