Formwork carpenter — Calhoun County

Join our team: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Calhoun County, Mississippi. You will be based at a reinforced concrete building site. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Your main tasks: • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
