Ideal candidate: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Day to day you will plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge.
