Now hiring: we are hiring a construction labourer in Knox County, Missouri. You will be based on a building construction site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Day-to-day duties: • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel We offer $21 per hour plus benefits.
