We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Taraba State)

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Takum, Taraba State. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture 4+ years on the tools preferred.
