Immediate opening: mechanical press operator (New Mexico)

Now hiring: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Grant County, New Mexico. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day-to-day duties: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg Full-time with occasional weekends.
