Immediate opening: we are hiring a bread and bun maker in Franklin County, Vermont. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Requirements: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Day-to-day duties: • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough Full-time with occasional weekends.
