Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Hardin County, Tennessee. The job is at a halal meat counter. Day-to-day duties: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Requirements: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Six days a week, one day off.
