Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Stephenson County, Illinois. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters.
