Fettler — Pickens County

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Pickens County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 2+ years on the tools preferred.
