Offshore rigger — Muya

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Muya, Niger State. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area.
